Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is the most revolutionary new skin restoration process. It is used for skin resurfacing and treats a range of skin abnormalities with minimal healing time. It regenerates the epidermal cell structure which increases skin's elasticity and collagen, resulting in a more youthful skin.

How It Works

The Diamond Peel Microdermabrasion technique uses a special wand tip made of natural diamond chips that polish the skin and remove dead cells, which are then vacuumed back into a waste filter. As the wand glides across the skin, it erases epidermal layers at varying depths in a controlled manner, and gently removes the outer layer of your skin while respecting the integrity of skin tissues and minimized trauma. By using diamonds, which are natural minerals, there is less likely to be an adverse skin reaction and the skin is able to heal more quickly. Performing this treatment mechanically alters the epidermis and invigorates cell renewal to create a healthy, balanced skin surface, and makes it possible to improve or eliminate many skin conditions and skin imperfections. Diamond Peel technology can easily bring you a step closer to realizing healthier, younger-looking skin because of its sensitivity--to you and your specific needs.

How Microdermabrasion Increases Collagen Production In Skin

Dead skin cells are a ‘flat’ shape and do not reflect light well, making wrinkles and fine lines look even more pronounced when you have a build-up of layers of old skin on your face (not to mention pimples and breakouts from the congestion!). A microdermabrasion treatment essentially removes the skin’s outermost layers of dead cells (the “horney layer”) revealing the younger, healthier skin underneath. These new, underlying skin cells are plump and round, making the fine lines much less noticeable and creating a more youthful, glowing, appearance. After just one treatment, patients will notice a decrease of fine lines and shallow wrinkles, such as those at the corner of the eyes, around the mouth, and on the forehead, feel more hydrated and look more even toned. FAQ

How often can I receive this treatment?
It depends on the area and the type of skin being treated. For normal skin, a microdermabrasion every 6-8 weeks works wonders to maintain a healthy and smooth complexion. For skins with sun damage or prolonged acne, we recommend a series of six treatments at least 2 weeks apart.

What type of skin can benefit from Microdermabrasion?
Aging skins such as fine lines, wrinkles, brown spots, and pigmentation; acneic skins such as acne scarring, congestion, enlarged pores, and blemishes; and Devitalized skins such as dull, ashen, thickened, scarring, and scratch marks.

How does this compare to chemical peels?
Microdermabrasion is an effective alternative to the use of chemical acids; the results are more predictable and can be accomplished in gradual stages with no down time or redness. In most cases client sees immediate results with quicker recovery.

Is this treatment painful?
No, it is virtually painless. The feeling is like a slight suction sensation, or a cat's tongue, being rubbed across the skin and vacuumed away.

How soon will I see some improvement?
You should see positive results within one treatment. Your skin will immediately feel smoother, tighter, and have a natural radiance from the increased circulation below the dermal surface. For textural issues or scarring concerns, improvements may take between 2-6 treatments depending on severity.

What types of skin and color can be treated?
All types of skin and color can be treated effectively. If you are having a break out or are experiencing inflammation before treatment, a gentler method will be applied so as not to aggravate the skin and cause a negative reaction.
